Hello, My name is Jonathan Ford. I’ve been in Christian broadcasting for over 20 years, and I’ve also been a church minister for nearly 40. It’s been my privilege to be invited to serve as a trustee of the Christian Broadcasting Council, a position I held some years ago before the organisation was recently revived.
Our aim is to raise standards for Christian broadcasting across the board, whether it’s produced by Christian companies or by Christians working in secular companies. A second aim is to create a bridge between all the various Christian media producers, allowing people to come together to discuss their values, objectives, joys, sorrows and, of course, their challenges. In this way, we aim to present Christian broadcasting in the UK in the best possible light and to support those who are striving to not only convey the Christian message but also to improve overall standards in broadcasting.
I hope that you will get involved with us. You don’t necessarily need to join our organisation, but it would be wonderful if you could register an interest, pray for us if possible, or, if you feel led, actively participate with us. We would be very pleased to have you on board.
Ultimately, our mission is to help as many people as possible encounter the wonderful Christian message of the Gospel through various forms of media. I hope this short video will encourage you to visit our website and get involved in our events. Thank you.
