Miggs Clark, Head of Prayer at Premier Christian Communications, is urging believers across Christian media and ministry to respond to a divine call to consecration, courage and prayer. During January’s Prayer for the Media gathering, Miggs shared about the Turn the Battle movement which is an invitation to rise in surrender and unity, and to believe that great light will be released as we return to the Lord.
There’s something stirring across the United Kingdom and Ireland that I believe is not man-made, not empire-building, and certainly not about a single organisation. It is a call to turn the battle at the gate. A divine summons to fast, pray, and return to the Lord with all our hearts.
That’s the heart behind the Turn the Battle movement, happening from 21st to 23rd January 2026, a call initiated by Steve Uppal and now embraced by a growing number of churches, media ministries, and individual believers. You can read more at www.turnthebattle.uk. You can also watch a video clip below featuring Steve with James Aladarin of Prayer Storm Ministries.
This isn’t about meetings or programmes. It’s about a move of God.
At Premier, our Content team has already committed to joining in, each in their own way. I’ll be in the building for those three days, available and open for whatever the Lord might ask. We are going to hold three short meetings in our Prayer Room each day, reflecting the themes and a special United Zoom meeting on Thursday evening. That’s our small part, and I’m encouraged that thousands of others across the Body of Christ are fasting and praying as the Lord leads.
I believe we are in a critical moment. But it is also a moment of grace and mercy. As we begin this year, I feel the Lord is giving us a fresh opportunity to repent, to reconsecrate ourselves, and to seek Him with urgency. Not for performance, but for purity. Not out of fear, but in faith that He still desires to show mercy to the UK and to His Church with a capital ‘C’.
The vision is rooted in Isaiah 28:6:
He will be “a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.”
This is about holding the line. About standing in the gap, not with noise or numbers, but with hearts yielded and voices lifted in prayer. And it starts with us.
The Three Commitments
There are three simple yet powerful themes guiding this national call:
- A Fresh Commitment to Prayer
Seeking the Lord afresh with hunger, humility and urgency. Asking for His presence, wisdom and power. - A Fresh Commitment to Consecration
Examining our hearts. Returning to holiness. Setting ourselves apart for His purposes. - A Fresh Commitment to Bold Living
Being courageous in our witness. Unashamed of the Gospel. Provoking questions, carrying hope, and living visibly for Christ.
These are not new ideas. But they are timely. And they are necessary.
The Light Will Break Forth
During the last CBC Prayer for the Media meeting, someone mentioned Gideon, how in the midst of battle, his army smashed their jars, and suddenly the light broke forth and the trumpets sounded. That image stayed with me. It clicked in my spirit.
As we have just shared over Christmas, Jesus is the Light of the World. His life is the light of men. Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.“(Matthew 5.14-16).
I honestly believe the Lord is releasing His presence among us again. And I say this with a full heart: I’m grateful because, truthfully, we had nearly lost it. So I invite you to join us. In your home, your church, your ministry, your media team. However you’re led. Let’s respond to this call with urgency and expectation. Let’s turn the battle at the gate.
